In Times Like These...

Today's "New Normal" made me remember an old poem from 1984 and I had to dust off my old journal and read it again. I hope you enjoy the quick read, which I believe applies in our current society almost four decades after I first wrote it:

The silent rage,

To turn the page,

The echo of the call,

The words that wait,

It's not too late,

To catch them as they fall,

The waves have gone,

But echo on,

In changing of the time,

When all is done,

Who says they've won?

You can't take back the crime.
